Our Livery Friends - Past and Present - and what they say about us.
| Carnwidden Livery Yard |
Tori & George - Helston - Carnwidden offers an extremely high standard of Livery, with a personal touch. Having moved from a top yard in the New Forest when we relocated down here in April 05, we had spent an entire weekend visiting prospective new yards in Cornwall for my horse, and knew it was going to be hard to find somewhere with comparable standards. Carnwidden offered professional facilities, and a welcoming atmosphere with help always at hand and a wealth of experience available. I wouldn't keep a horse anywhere else, as for us peace of mind is priceless. A & T Riley & the infamous George,

Mark, Nicky and Nicole - Falmouth - Having looked around at several livery yards, we were delighted to have found Carnwidden. The yard is friendly and relaxed with an intimate feeling; a fun community good for adults and children alike. The stables are very generous and the facilities fantastic. Sam and Nigel are great people to be around offering as much or little advice and help as you need. We always feel safe going away and leaving our horses in their care. Sam is an excellent teacher and has the patience of a saint! Which I unfortunately test on a regular basis! We have received nothing but encouragement and friendship which has greatly helped to promote a more confident relationship with our horses. We can and do recommend Carnwidden without any reservation. Mark, Nicky & Nicole Not forgetting the most important, some of the residents, Karana, Dusty & Atiya.

Emily, Michelle & Ravern - Mylor - Carnwidden was the ideal place to keep Ravern, with its high standard facilities it was a great opportunity to keep him going, throughout the competition season. It had a lovely atmosphere, with everyone getting along, which is very hard to find in most livery yards. It is very professionally run, but there is also a lot of fun to be had, with the trips to the beach, bbq’s and Christmas rides etc. I am very glad that we chose to keep a horse at Carnwidden, and we always felt that he was in safe hands, every minute of the day and we would never hesitate in going back there. Emily, Michele+Ravern.

Kelly & Smartie - Mawnan Smith - Carnwidden has a lot to offer both with its excellent facilities and its lovely atmosphere. I arrived at Carnwidden in April 05 with my horse Marrikesh. Marrikesh was for sale so i wasn't sure how long my stay would be. After being there only a few weeks i decided to stay and look for a new horse. Sam and Nigel became friends and i was soon enjoying the benefits of being a livery at Carnwidden. Sam helped me find my current horse 'Smartie', Smartie being a youngster i knew i was going to need all the help i could get and Sam was there to offer advice and help around the clock. Last year I started training for my BHS stages with Sam. Sam gave me both practical and theory lessons at Carnwidden and even arranged for me to attend Willesley Equine Clinic with her on a visit where her horse was seeing Svend Kold a specialist in Equine Orthopaedic surgery. I have learnt endless amounts with Sam and my equine knowledge and stable management has increased a lot. I went on to pass my exams with confidence in which I gained from my training. The list of benefits Carnwidden has to offer is endless and i would highly recommend this yard to anyone. Kelly Brown and Miss Smartie Pants.

Hayley & King George - Mawnan Smith - I met Sam & Nigel in 2005 when my sister moved her pony Marrikesh to Carnwidden. They were always very polite to me whenever I was at the yard, but it was only until I took my pony King George there that I realised just how lovely they were and what fantastic facilities Carnwidden actually had. There was not exactly room for me at the yard when I bought King George, but Sam & Nigel went out of their way to make space for me. I was fortunate enough to end up with a stable next to Sam. I watched Sam's stable management and care of her own horse Solo and from this I learned so much. Soon after King George's arrival at Carnwidden, we realised his talent and after having weekly lessons from Sam and many fun evenings of 'put the jumps up as high as you can' from Nigel! I was eventually ready for the coming show season. I gained so much from Sam's lessons and also taking notes from some of the other much respected liveries King George and I had an amazing season together. Sam & Nigel always put the horse’s best interest first and that is the most important thing at any livery yard. They do their upmost to keep the yard at its best, with help from their lovely yard/stable hand David! It is very hard to find a livery yard with such a nice welcoming atmosphere that also holds exceptional facilities and great people to learn from. Hayley & King George

Lyn, Steve & Oz - Falmouth - Carnwidden .... what can I say, its the type of livery yard you dream of taking your pony to when you are a child. It's an amazing place with top class facilities. Having not had horses for a few years I bought Oz - a one off. Not the brightest spark but lovable and lazy. Sam and Nigel welcomed us and we soon settled in. Oz was bought as my horse but soon become spoilt by my partner Steve. Sam has had the patience of a saint and has taught Steve to ride from scratch, he is now completely hooked on horses and in particular Oz . I am now going to have to get my own horse and there is nowhere else I would rather have horses than Cardwidden. We have met some lovely people at the yard and made good friends. Everyone is friendly and always happy to help. Well done Sam and Nigel and thanks for your continuing help and support.
